Ubicato nelle sale attigue alla Basilica, il museo si dispone su due piani. Al primo piano si trovano esposti, lungo le pareti del corridoio, quattro "soppani" cinquecenteschi (tegole piane di cotto per soffittature interne) insieme a una serie di targhe votive in terracotta, in gran parte realizzate tra il XIX e il XX secolo tranne due esemplari settecenteschi. Targhe di questo tipo vennero realizzate solo a partire dalla metà del XVIII secolo, quando, in occasione del restauro, venne eseguita la prima incisione della Madonna dell'Impruneta che fissò il prototipo iconografico al quale si ispirarono tutti i successivi ex voto.

Located in rooms adjoined to the Basilica, the museum is on two floors. On the first floor there are the four XV Cent. "soppani" (plain tiles of terracotta for room ceilings), exposed along the walls of the corridor together with a series of terracotta votive plaques, these were mainly realized between the XIX and XX Cent., but there are also two XVIII Cent. specimens. Plaques of this type were made only from the mid XVIII Cent. when, during the restoration, the first engrave of the Madonna dell’Impruneta was made and became the iconographic prototype to which all the following ex-voto inspired.
