Il Museo documenta la tradizione della ceramica artistica a Cerreto fiorita dopo il sisma del1688. L'incontro tra scuole diverse diede luogo ad una produzione ceramica che riproponeva modelli e tipologie partenopee, ma con un nuovo, dissonante ed esuberante cromatismo, dal gusto naturalistico, con svelte e nervose immagini animalistiche, dal sapore NAIF, che fanno ricordare il rapporto uomo-animale delle antiche civiltà venatorie.

The museum documents the tradition of ceramic art in Cerreto spread after the earthquake in 1688. The crossroads between different schools resulted in a ceramic production which proposed models and types from Naples, but with new, dissonant and exuberant colours, natural style, with quick and nervous images of animals, somehow naive, they do recall the relationship between man and animals of the ancient hunting civilizations.
